Nuestra casa es tu casa
Bienvenido…

Things to Remember:
Water: is very precious in Baja. Please use it sparingly. We run on a well that has an allotted amount of water - so please be mindful! Also, our well water is not recommended for drinking in large quantities, but it is absolutely okay for rinsing veggies, washing dishes, or brushing your teeth. For drinking water, please utilize the water jugs found throughout the house.
Septic: The house runs on a septic tank. Absolutely NO feminine hygiene products or anything that isn’t toilet paper should be flushed down the toilet. Please use toilet paper sparingly.
Wildlife: You are in the desert and a bit “off the grid” (adjacent). With that comes its fair share of wildlife and domestic animals -
Cows - are harmless and local. Please be respectful as you pass them on the dirt road. Around 4 pm, please close the front gate so as not to welcome the neighborhood bull into the courtyard (he likes to eat our cacti..!)
Raccoons - like to sleep on the roof, play in the pool, and have the occasional rager. Don’t give them any more excuses to party - please make sure all trash is cleared every night before you go to bed, and trash cans are inside and secure. Close all doors (screens are okay)
Geckos - are our sweet little friends. You’ll hear them chirping from time to time. They are harmless and will not hurt you, but eat bugs that like to bite, so keep them happy by leaving them alone to do pest control.
Wildlife - Keep an eye out when you are walking around the dirt roads. Just be smart and aware and you’ll be fine :)
Los Barriles
The town of Los Barriles is a short 20-minute drive from Rancho Leonero. There you can find all the amenities you need, shopping, restaurants, urgent care, and groceries.
The town is safe and friendly, as long as you behave safely and friendly :)
If you are looking for more than what Los Barriles has to offer, we suggest renting a car to take you south to San Jose Del Cabo or Cabo San Lucas, West to Todos Santos, or North to La Paz. There, you can find many more options for shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores.
